Graphic design trends to watch out for in 2021
There are several things that have changed this year, among others :
1. Glassmorphism
Have you heard of the latest trend called glassmorphism? (Yes, neomorphism is no longer cool.) This is a recent UI trend that relies heavily on an effect called background blur, which essentially creates the appearance of "translucent crystals" elements.
introduced in Windows Vista and iOS7, but looks like it will be available in the form of a new update for a while!
Want to try it?, you can try it here
2. 3D illustrations (still like the previous year)
As it becomes easier for casual UI designers to create things in 3D, 3D images will continue to exist. (Try the 3D tool called Spline, currently in beta, but very easy to use and easy to use!)
3. Blur & colorful background
Check out Stripe (also has glass distortion) and My Mind (a great and simple adjustment tool).
4. Bright color
Check out Designcode.io, Sleepiest, and Design Discussions available, Many love this color to create a magical and soft atmosphere here.
5. Real life photos
We predict that soon everyone will get tired of using 3D illustrations & graphics in product designs, so real life photos will be back.
illustration may not be for everyone. And sometimes real people and real items can have a bigger impact on users. Many Websites are based in real life photography & look great!.
6. Aesthetic minimalism
Perhaps our personal favorite trend, there's nothing more beautiful than a simple, minimalistic and easy-to-read user interface.
websites like Revolut (also simple 3D), Sketch, and Qoals (can also blur the background) are good examples. You don't need a fancy UI or "amazing effects" to make your product stand out. The display is absolutely stunning (unfortunately, not many people know the customers)
7. Huge and complex typography
There are many examples of large and complex typography that plays an important role in product design. Some of them are even based entirely on typography, and the results are often interesting. The choice of typeface is often quite extravagant.
Check out Whirly Birdie, Dovetail + Afterpay (also bright colors), and Synchronized (also brutalism).
And if you want to add more interesting fonts to your designs, you can download them for free at here
8. Geometric structure
We are seeing more and more designs with a very neat and conservative visual structure. Make the information very neat!
One of the most beautiful examples of geometric interface structures is ritual websites. It's a lot of fun to use and watch (I also like the simple but interesting animations).
9. Brutalism
This is the most problematic trend we've come across (honestly, not much neomorphism). It's called brutalism, and the name seems to imply sharp contrasts, usually unflattering typography, and accessibility and readability issues. But we understand resonance, the main idea is to deconstruct what we think is beautiful and useful.
Surprisingly, I've seen a lot of websites and apps that actually follow this trend! (One of them is the Polish radio station Newonce).
we tried it, but we are not fan of user interface, we prefer to stick with posters and magazines.
10. UX/UI process simplification
Trends that are different from other trends are not visually visible. we are seeing more and more people in the industry realizing that many of the processes behind product design are becoming very complex. This is done from time to time, to the detriment of product designers, customers, and especially digital products themselves.
There is a great need for change. We believe this is slowly starting to change. We firmly believe that it is time to take a few steps back or look at the industry from a new perspective. or see the entire industry from a fresh perspective. It's time to rethink confusing concepts and names, rebuild the difficult and time-consuming process, and make it easier for aspiring designers to learn product design.
